Bible Verses to Read When You Have Lost All Hope

There will be times when you will be in such a devastating place that you need comfort from many sources. As a believer in Christ, I have experienced so much peace from the scriptures and prayer. Here are 10 Bible verses that you can read when you have lost all hope.

1. God Will Strengthen You

Isaiah 41:10 tells us that God will strengthen us and help us. He will uphold us with his hand. We do not have to fear because of how awesome He is.

2. God is Our Refuge

Psalm 41:1-3 says that God is our refuge, a place in which we can seek safety. He is always there to help us when we are in trouble.

3. We Do Not Have to Be Timid

2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us that we do not have to be timid because God gave us power, love, and self-discipline.

4. He Cares About Us

1 Peter 5:7 tells us to give Him our worries because he cares about us. How comforting that the God of the Universe cares about us.

5. God Answers Us

Psalm 120:1 says that if we call on God, He answers us. That doesn’t mean He’ll always give the answer we are looking for, but He will answer us.

6. He Plans to Give us a Future and Hope

Jeremiah 29:11 God has plans for us, one that is of hope! His thoughts towards us are of peace and not evil.

7. Our God is With Us

Zephaniah 3:17 tells us that God, the Mighty One, is with us. He will save us, and he will rejoice over us with gladness and singing. He will calm us with love.

8. We Are His Children

1 John 3:2 reminds us that we are children of God. One day, we will be with Him in eternity.

9. He’ll Dry Our Tears

Revelation 21:4 tells us that God will wipe away all of the tears from our eyes when we are with  Him. There will be no more crying, sorrow, or death.

10. We Will Live Forever With Him

John 4:13-14 God gives us a way to live with Him forever in eternity. One day, the suffering will be over, and we will be with Him.

I find a lot of comfort in these scriptures. I hope you will, also.
