My Biggest Tip For Starting Your Own Blog

A few weeks ago, I had a reader write in and ask me to give her some tips on how to start her own blog. I’m definitely not a pro when it comes to blog starting, but I do have some tips that I suggest for those that are thinking about creating their own.

You can check out what I have to say about this in this video, if your prefer to listen.

I recently wrote about how I started Love Hope Adventure. If you check out that post, you’ll know that I got started in the writing world as a freelance writer. I’m still a freelance writer and work with several clients every month to help them with their projects.

I know that a lot of people will probably balk at this suggestion, but it has been immensely helpful for me to start out writing for other people. To find my clients, I have gigs out on Fiverr.com. I had no know idea what I was doing when I started taking on orders, and I’m glad for that.

If I had done a lot of research ahead of time about how to be a blogger, it would have really overwhelmed me. I’m very glad that I’ve eased into this a little at a time.

Even if you don’t feel like working for other people, you can always submit articles to other sources. Plenty of bloggers allow you to submit guest posts. You can always try writing a few posts and submit to other bloggers.

I feel that by writing for others, it helped me to feel out if starting a blog was something I actually wanted to do.

A Blogging Book Resource

Not everyone feels comfortable going into blogging blind like I did. I recently purchased this book called Building a Framework: The Ultimate Blogging Handbook.

Building a blog

I work with a business coach/online marketer, and the information in this book would be something you would find in the types of programs business coaches/online marketer would share.

There is a lot that goes into starting a blog and running it. That is why so many people find ways to make a full-time income from it, so they can keep pouring into people.
