I just finished helping my friend, Ryan Cote, launch his new blog. Ever since I’ve known him, he’s always talked about morning routines and how important they’ve been to his life. Because of that, I’ve been asking him a TON of questions…..(hopefully, he’s not tired of me, yet!). He brought a perspective to morning routines that I haven’t heard before. He said that by starting out your day investing in yourself, you are setting the tone for the day.
….and I felt that….
Geeze, when I think about the amount of time I stop and invest in myself in a week, let alone a day, it’s hardly at all. Self-care is this huge topic of conversation, particularly among women. I don’t see this directed towards men as much. But, for women, self-care can easily feel like selfishness…and that shouldn’t be the case.
It’s really easy to get so wrapped up doing everything for those around you, that you don’t stop and take care of yourself. I’m here to tell you, wife, you’re not doing yourself any favors, (especially in the sex department) if you’re not investing in yourself.
Show me a confident woman, and I’ll show you a sexy woman.
Wife, how much sexier would you feel if you got up every morning (or as many mornings as you can) and did something for yourself? No feelings of guilt are allowed!
Husband, how much more confident would you face the day if you got up and invested in yourself?
Ryan says that when you take the time to invest in your mind, your body, and your spiritual walk first thing in the morning, it sets the tone for your whole day. It changes your mindset on how the day is going to go. And…you are more selective of what you do the rest of the day.
I’m still developing my morning routine and I encourage you to join me. You can go here and sign up to receive a PDF version of Ryan’s morning routine and a worksheet to create your own. I’ve already had my boys working on morning routines and it’s been so successful for the last week. Get the Free Morning Routine Printable
