Seriously though- I’m not much of a goal setter. However, last year I took Makeover Your Year by Crystal Paine. Her course taught me how to set manageable goals that will inspire me and help me stay on track.
The other day, I read back over the post from last year to see how I was doing on meeting the goals. Guess what- I met every single one. I do realize that this sentence alone lets you know that I didn’t actually keep up with it throughout the year like a good little goal setter would.
What it showed me about setting realistic goals last year, is that it put me on track to actually do what I wanted to this year. Even though I didn’t follow my outlines completely, I did manage to reach the goals by the end of 2016.
For that reason, I decided to put together goals for this year. I thought I would share a few of them with you.
Do strength training exercises 3 days a week- I am currently doing pushups, squats, situps, and using an 8 pound weight for lifting.
Lose at least 5 more pounds- Currently, I weigh 134. My goal weight is 130 at this time.
Stay on my current diet– this is what I’ve been doing to lose 14 pounds over the last 2 months.
Release a coaching program for couples- sign up for the free printable we are offering that will go along with this course.
Publish a sex position eBook- I’m partnering with the owner over at Christian Friendly Sex Positions to help me put together the images. He’s offering a 52 week marriage challenge that you can sign up for free here.
Create and release a printable couples bedroom game- there is a worksheet already available for this game that you can get through my Etsy shop if you are interested. It’s a dirty talk worksheet for couples. The game we are creating will go along with this printable.
Finish out the current homeschool year with the boys- next year, we plan to send the kids back to school. I’ll talk more about that in the coming months.
Teach the kids how to cook more- the kids have been helping me out in the kitchen over the last year more and more. This year, I plan to teach them to make recipes from start to finish, rather than just help me cook.
This year, I want to focus on speaking to Austin in his two love languages- touch and words of affirmation.
Reduce household and grocery budget by $200 a month- to accomplish this, I’ll have to buy vegetables in season, go with less expensive meat, make my own hummus, replace cereal with cheaper breakfast foods, and cook more from scratch.
Increase my salary by $8,7000 this year- I plan to increase my salary this year through earning more from my freelance writing clients + the sale of products I create for those that follow my blog.
