I had the privilege of attending a 50th wedding anniversary celebration this weekend. It was so awesome to see two amazing people renew their wedding vows after so many years together. Less and less people are reaching this many years together in marriage.
50th Wedding Gift Idea
The 50th wedding anniversary is the year of giving gold. I thought it would be fun to buy gold and white colored items to put in a box for them. Lucky for me, it is Christmas time and it wasn’t hard to find a gold box.
What I bought:
Bottle of sparkling cider
Bag of gold Hershey’s Kisses
These are the basic things I decided to put in the box.
Quotes For the Items
I’ve really gotten into attaching tags with quotes on them to food items when I give it. For this project, I wrote these 3 cards:
Always find time for a kiss (Hershey’s kisses)
Make a toast to more years to come (sparkling cider)
Never let the flame go out on your love (candle)
Congrats on 50 years of marriage (outside of the box)
I found that three things filled out my box pretty well. While I was walking around the store, nothing else fun came to mind to put in the box.
I’m sure if I had more time, other gold objects would have popped out at me. My goal was to keep everything in the gold and white colors.
Here are some pics I took of the centerpieces; they were beautiful.
If you are invited to any anniversary, these items could easily be used for the gift. Nothing in the box is specific to 50 years.
