How I Went From Being a SAHM to a Work At Home Mom

how I went from a SAHM to a work from home mom

Since I was a teenager, my dream for my life was to be a stay at home mom (SAHM). I didn’t pursue a carrier, rather a husband that would make enough money to support us. I married Austin, and we went into the marriage with those expectations.

Even though I wanted to stay at home and raise the kids as my main responsibility, I always assumed I would earn an income.

While growing up, mom stayed home with us until I was 16.

I was the last one at home, so she was out of the workforce for 25 years. However, she always had money making projects that she worked on from home.

At one time, my mom drove our 15 passenger van to pick other kids up for the private school we attended. My mom worked it out with some of the other moms to be paid for picking up their kids.

She also took in sewing for people as a way to earn income. Mom is a brilliant seamstress and people will pay for custom clothing.

Also, my mom taught piano lessons over the years. Her piano students would come to our house to take lessons.

I thought I would have no problems finding work at home.

Since I had always seen my mom bring in a bit of income from home, I assumed I would be able to do the same thing. I had no idea how hard it would be to find something I could do to earn income.

In this video, I talk to you about the things I have tried to do over the course of the years that hasn’t worked. Then I tell you what I am doing now to earn income.

Just so you know, it took me 8 years of trying to finally figure out something that would bring in money from home. It has not been an easy road, but I know if you put your mind to it, you will be able to come up with something too.

What about you? What are your work from home ideas?
