I’ll be honest, I’ve held off on writing this final post in my How to Feel Beautiful series because I haven’t felt very beautiful lately. It’s really important that you remember the concept that I started the series out with. My series is how to feel beautiful, not how to look beautiful.
What I’ve Been Struggling With
Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve struggled to feel pretty. I’m not really sure I can pinpoint why I haven’t been feeling pretty, I just know I haven’t. It is kind of hard for me to write a post to encourage you to take a challenge to feel better about yourself, if I am struggling with the subject myself.
I say all of that to tell you this…I’m just a regular girl. There’s nothing super or amazing about me. Just because I write these posts doesn’t mean I have it all figured out.
Often times, I write about these topics because they are things I have struggled with or am still struggling with.
Why it Is Important To Feel Beautiful
I wrote this series, because I needed to be reminded that feeling beautiful is important. When you don’t feel good about yourself, it effects many areas of your life. For one thing, it affects the way you feel when you have sex with your spouse.
Since I write a blog that focuses on intimacy in marriage, I think it is important that you have a good opinion of yourself. If you don’t feel good about who you are, then it is hard to let yourself be loved.
Today’s Beauty Challenge
In my video, I talk about the beauty challenge I’m issuing. It is a relatively simple task, but one that is important. You should identify people, places, and things that help you feel beautiful.
I know that for me, burning a candle with a nice fragrance can help me to feel better about myself. Getting around certain people brings out the beauty in me. Playing instrumental jazz music helps me to have a better attitude about myself.
Figure out what helps you feel pretty and then spend time doing those things or with those people.
We are all subject to having times in our lives when we become discontent with the way we look. That should not be the norm, though.
I hope that you have enjoyed this series. Thank you following along with me as I have given you practical things you can do every week to build a better view of yourself.
