Why I Love Valentine’s Day

Why I Love Valentines

I LOVE love! It is not wonder that Valentine’s Day is my favorite holiday. It is a day that is dedicated to celebrating love!

How I Decorate For Valentine’s Day

There are a few things that I like to do to for this awesome day. Decorating my house is at the top of the list.

Don’t hate me, but I already have Valentine’s decorations up. I know! I know! I’m as bad as the stores. Actually, I do get frustrated when the stores put out Christmas stuff before Thanksgiving, but I have yet to see them pull out Valentine’s decorations too early. 😀

Here are some of the decorations from this year.

How I Celebrate The Day

We don’t do anything that is very special for this day. I usually buy the kids a small box of chocolates, that I end up eating throughout the year….just being honest.

Austin and I make sure that we spend time together on the day. Sometimes, we try to go out on a date, but it is hard to get a sitter so we often just celebrate at home.

Celebrating Love is Important

The reason that I love Vday so much is that it is a day that we are reminded to celebrate our love for others. I know a lot of people get frustrated with the holiday because they are single. I don’t think it has to be a lover’s holiday, just a day to be reminded how amazing love is.

Since this is my fave holiday, I will likely write a lot of posts leading up to the day. I apologize in advance for the number of hearts you will see!

Tell me how you celebrate the day! I would love to hear from you in the comments.

  • We do not celebrate Valentines Day, we celebrate my husband’s birthday. M’eh I knew this going into the relationship so I knew it would always be his day. Thanks for sharing on the #HomeMattersParty – I hope you will join us, next week.

Hey, you’re still celebrating him which is why I love any holiday that helps me put my focus on my husband. 🙂

Wow. As a marriage blogger, I always feel a little bad that I don’t adore Valentine’s Day like I should. Spock and I barely celebrate it, but I do think it’s a nice idea to set aside time to celebrate love. Your decorations are wonderful! Enjoy the day thoroughly. 🙂

I just love the idea of celebrating love. 🙂
